With a range of over 400 yards, it works to keep baby in range no matter where you might be in the house. It comes with a plug in to work with any standard electrical plug in but when you want to travel it also works on battery power.
The handset of the monitor which is mobile and has LED lighting to show noise indication and that the monitor is on and functioning, stores easily and quickly into the carry case to make this monitor a quick and easy safety feature to carry with you anywhere.
I purchased this for my niece who is due to have her baby in January and it was very reasonable at only Cdn $30. My niece and nephew and their three other little girls do a lot of traveling and visiting and this unit will be great to carry to the Grandma's and Great-grandma's homes when they visit.
The monitor is sturdy hard plastic and is quite light to pick up and carry making it easy for mom to manage even when she has baby in her arms.
Someone who was at the shower said that they really liked this particular unit, so hopefully my niece will get lots of great use out of it. I couldn't check the actual range or clarity on this, but as I've owned several such monitors from this Company myself for my own children, I think it's safe to say that the clarity and reception should be at the very least, a good solution.
The one drawback I noticed however is that the channel selection range isn't very large - only two channels are available for this particular unit. As there are no other families in their area with small children however, hopefully this won't pose a problem. I'll update this review once I have feedback on that particular aspect.
Overall, for the price, this is a very economical monitor that even if only used for when you are visiting away from home - is well worth the money for piece of mind.
