Sally Hansen Protein Nail Strengthener By IceQueen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I bought Sally Hansen's Salon Protein Nail Strengthener because I really wanted to keep my long nails from breaking. When I was originally in the store I overlooked it right away because it was wrapped in a box, meaning it was more expensive and because it had a green tint. After actually reading everything the box, I found out that it was pretty much exactly what I was looking for. As soon as I got home I washed my hands as filed my nails. I opened the bottle of polish adn applied two even coat. I let it dry. Right away I noticed it was not that glossy or shiny. After it completely dried I wanted to see how smooth it felt. Honestly it felt like my plain old nail smooth but not silky, like other polishes make it feel. The next day I started noticing some yellowing. That was extremely sad because most clear polishes prevent yellowing. According to the directions I should have applied another layer every other day continuously, to continue to strengthen my nails. I followed those directions, but the yellowing worsened. Eventually I just remeoved all the polish and decided I needed to start over. I eventually stopped using the polish and found an alternative.
