Salon Eye Brow Wax By dsnygrl on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I was a little hesitant the first time I went to get my eyebrows waxed. I thought it would hurt really bad but to my surprise it wasn't bad at all. I went the first time because I really wanted my eyebrows to be professionally shaped by someone that knew what they were doing. I always keep going to fix one side or the other and then end up having taken way too much off. I tried the ladies at Salon La Faye and they were wonderful. First they predraw they line that they want to follow. Next the warm wax is applied above and below the lines that they have made. In seconds it is removed and done. Any strays that were missed are then carefully plucked out. When this is done by a professional in a quick pull at the right angle it really does not hurt much at all. It did make me sneeze though. The area stayed red for about 15 minutes but did not hurt after the wax was removed. It does not last much longer than plucking but it is all done at once and actually hurts less than doing it one at a time and gives you a nice professional line to follow when new hairs grow back in.

I've never done this, but am thinking about it now!

It's so funny. I didn't get my eyebrows waxed until I was about 50. After it was completed, I jumped out of the chair, and announced to all the ladies in the salon, "Today I'm a woman!"
