I purchased these 5 oz. Sam's Yams Veggie Rawhide Sweet Potato Dog Chewz at Pet People for $5.99. My younger dog loves the taste of sweet potato and he loves to chew so I thought these would be a perfect treat for him.

They were a little expensive as there were only 4 chews inside the packaging. They were of a large size though. They only ingredient is that it is a sweet potato that is dehydrated. Protein is listed at 6%. He seemed quite interested when I first gave him the treat. He chewed on it for about 5 minutes (on their website, they said that smaller breeds which my dog is, would chew for 15 to 25 minutes while larger breeds would chew the rawhide faster) and then seem disinterested in it. I put it back in the packaging. I can't even tell which piece of rawhide he chewed. Every now and then I take it back out and I'll give it to him. He'll carry it around for a little bit and chew on it for a few minutes and then that's it. I just noticed on their site that they have a fry version where the sweet potato is cut up into what resembles fries. This might have been better for my dog because they are promoting it for smaller breeds. This product though was not available at Pet People only the large size chews were in stock. I won't be buying the large ones in the future but possibly the smaller ones.
