Sand And Water Activity Table By Tina Lehman on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
This sand and water table is a great alternative to a traditional sandbox. The table stands a couple feet tall, so kids do not have to climb inside to play with it. It has two sides, one for sand and one for water. Each side has a removeable plug, so that water can be drained out.
The umbrella that comes with it is useful, since we don't have a lot of shade in the yard. It comes with a top that bungees on. The top seems fairly durable, but is made of pretty thin plastic. It makes it lightweight so the kids can remove it, but I can see where it might become easily torn thus exposing sharp edges. The body of the table is a single piece of plastic, and is very durable.
Inevidably it will all become one big "mud" table, but the kids have fun with it just the same. It comes with plastic molds, but we bought a few beach toys to go along with it.

Kids, sand, and water. What could be better?!
My mom got something just like this for her house. My daughter loves playing with it! I may have to get one for our house too!
My son's preschool has one of these and even my 20 month old daughter likes to play in it! They filled it with birdseed so what the kids spill on the ground isn't wasted. The kids seem to like digging in it just as well. (They filled the water side too...)
my kid always love to play with water donno why
