Sandals Dunns River By cukal6 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

For our honeymoon my husband booked Sandals Dunns River without my knowing about it. I was thrilled! I had heard nothing but good things about the Sandals resorts and they definitely live up to the expectation.

If you don't know, Sandals is an ultra all-inclusive resort for couples only. Everything they do is geared towards making you fall in love all over again. We snorkeled, had candle lit dinners under the stars, danced to the Jamaican bands, took a tour of Dunns River Falls, and lounged by the pool.

The food was amazing. From the fresh fruit and made to order omelets at breakfast, to the steak dinners, and even the snack stand at the pool. I didn't find one thing there that I didn't like. And it's all included. If you don't like something, send it back and get something else.

Another thing I like about the resorts is that you don't have to tip. When they say all-inclusive, they mean it. We tried to tip a couple of times and the employees refused. WE spent a week in Jamaica and spent a total of $100 while we were there. That was on gifts for family.

If you're looking for an amazing vacation, Sandals Dunns River is definitely one to try!

What a GREAT surprise! I've heard good things about Sandles too but now that I have a kid it will be a while before I can try them out for myself. Glad you enjoyed it:0)

Long ago when I was a travel agent, we used to book lots of Sandels vacations, they were very popular. I have never gotten to go myself because of no child care but we like to go on cruises for the same all inclusive reasons a s a resort like this. Except on a cruise you do have to tip but that's at the end.

This sounds like an absolutely wonderful vacation. Lots of romance, great food and varied activities. I was wondering about the rooms at Sandals. Are they comfortable and offer lots of amenities?

I have heard that Sandals vacations are wonderful. I have always wondered what someone who actually went on one of these vacations thought? Thank you so much for sharing you have really made me feel like Sandals might be right for my husband and I!

I have seen commericals for Sandals, never known any one that actually took a vacation there. It sounds like a very romantic place. Maybe I should surprise my wife with a trip to Sandals. How are the rooms?

I think all inclusive is the way to go! It takes a lot of the stress and worry out of a vacation and as I stated before Sandals is a top notch place, no matter which resort you go to ;)

I love the concept of all inclusive resorts. I have yet to vacation in one but it is definitely one of the things on my "bucket list." Which is still very long as I'm only 25, lol. I think it's great about the tipping thing...that is the one thing I don't like when going on vacation because you feel like you have to tip everyone and I always feel like a cheapo when I don't. Glad to hear you had a wonderful vacation!
