Sandals for Seduction and Seclusion
By Mean_Queen onSandals is an all-inclusive couples only resort for adults. In other words, it's heaven! We spent 7 days at the Dunn's River resort for our honeymoon. You have the option of staying at the resort or going on selected excursions. We only left the resort once to travel to Dunn's River Falls. It's a waterfall that you climb then end in a natural spring.Other than that, we spent our days relaxing in the pool, paddling our raft up to the in-pool bar, and eating and drinking our money's worth.
This resort has a few restaurants to choose from. Our favorite was the Japanese hibachi style, Kimonos. But the Italian, Il Capitano, came in a very close second. The resort also has special event buffets. We dressed up one night in Toga's and went to an international buffet. There were tables featuring food from France, Italy, and of course, the Caribbean. The dessert table was so big, I took pictures of it.
There are many activities there other than eating. Many are included, such as kayaking, snorkeling, and hobie cats. There is golf course nearby, but my husband was smart enough to know not to bring his golf clubs on his honeymoon. The resort also has dancing lessons and games, like the Newlywed Game (which we won!).The spa services are an extra charge.
One thing I really loved about Sandals is it is all-inclusive.The workers can not take a tip for services, so you only need to worry about money to spend on souvenirs.Which brings me to my only complaint.Outside the gates of the resort, there were groups of people trying to get you to leave the resort to see their shops. For the most part, they were far away but if you got close to a gate all you could hear was the sound of begging and the smell of Jamaica's finest smokes. The bus ride to the resort was also a bit scary, but I've tried to block that out because it was a necessary evil to get to the vacation of a lifetime.
If anyone is looking for a great place to relax, have fun, and get away from it all (including your own kids), I recommend the Sandals resorts.

Sandals sounds like a wonderful get-away! My sister went for her honeymoon but I have not made it yet. I hope to one day!
That sounds like a wonderful romantic get away!
Yes, great improvement, and excellent by my standard! Awesome job on a place i would love to visit!WW-V:)
Sandals sounds fabulous! i love the fact that it is all inclusive and I am glad you had a fabulous time on your honeymoon!
I've always been interested in the Sandals resorts. Thanks for sharing!
Sounds like a very nice place to vacation at for couples. Maybe one day my wife and I can go there.
We have been to Jamica several times on cruises and have climbed Dunn's River falls too. We have not stayed at the Sandles properties but have heard wonderful things about them. It's great to go somewhere like Jamica and know everything is taken care of right there on the property.
You're right. That does sound like Heaven! I never had a honeymoon so I imagine that this would be amazing! The all-inclusive thing sounds like a great deal. Takes a lot of stress off of worrying about money. If we ever get time to plan a vacation and go, I will check this out. Great information. Sounds like you had a wonderful honeymoon!!
Sounds like the perfect place to relax. I think my hubby and I might try an all-inclusive on our next trip. It's nice not to have to worry about how much money you will end up spending.
sounds like an awesoem trip, and of course any time with just you and the spouse can be great, let alone on an island with everything provided for you! good rview!
