Sandals Resort Negril, Jamaica

When my husband and I got married, I told him he could plan the whole honeymoon. I just wanted a tropical place with a beach! He reserved a week-long get away at the Sandals Resort in Negril, Jamaica. It was the perfect honeymoon and I can't wait to go back for another romantic vacation!

It took about an hour and a half to get from the airport to the resort, but the driver was very funny and knowledgeable. We had to stop once because a cow would not get out of our way!

My husband reserved a room with concierge service. It was nice to have our check-in done for us and our luggage delivered to our room. This service also booked all of our meal and activity reservations, but the resort was not busy enough to actually need the reservations. We were also given special deals on outside shopping trips with this service, but we never went on one.

The rooms were very clean, colorful, and private. The windows by the frond door are wood blinds though, not glass. So you might want to keep the noise down. ;-) The room was air conditioned and had a huge double door balcony with a table and chairs.

The food was great! There were three specialty restaurants, a buffet, and a beach bar to snack or have lunch at. It felt odd at first to just get up without paying, but everything is included. Food, drinks, activities, entertainment...everything!

If you are looking for a great romantic getaway with no kids running around and no worries about money, I would highly suggest finding a Sandals resort!
