San Disk's Mistake. 1 Gb San Disk Card By jrm5035 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

In this market of substandard imported media, and shady no-name memory, it is important to maintain quality for a meainstream brand. Unfortunately, SanDisk did not carry through. While the specs, cost, and speed of the card are acceptable, the durability of the overall card is extremely poor. After only 5 months of moderate use, the card's casing deteriorated to the point where it was no longer being recognized by my PC, and direct connection of the terminals by wire was required.

Overall, if in need for a cheap fix, grab one of these. Otherwise, spend ~20.00 on newegg and buy a higher quality card, just for the casing. Hopefully QA will catch this eventually, as SanDisk is generally a well regarded company.
