Sarah McLachlan Surfacing

Sarah McLachlan's album "Surfacing" is amazing. It's proof that you don't have to have the perfect pitch or the most excellent voice to warm people's hearts and souls. Sarah McLachlan has this indescribable way of keeping things simple, yet keeping them so powerful and so overwhelming that her music, vocals, and lyrics take you away to a warming and comfortable place. This album shows just how much she is growing as a performer as well as a songwriter. "Surfacing" includes her most well known hits "Building A Mystery" and "Angel", which are my two favorite songs of this album. "Angel" will make you cry, the tone and the lyrics will have you grabbing for the tissues.
This album also seems to have a dark undertone and isn't full of happy-go-lucky songs. They are all very unique and all have a certain aura and power to take over your emotions.
