Saucony Progrid Omni 6 Shoes
By dragoncoach onThis is one of two running shoes that I have been wearing lately.I am a football coach, and I needed a durable shoe that is comfortable for wearing to both practices and games.I like this shoe a lot, but to be honest, I like my other ones better.
I picked the Saucony Omni because it has arch support built into the shoe, and since I am a larger framed guy (6'2", 215 lbs), I wanted something that would last.Saucony has a great reputation for making good shoes, and I did some research into the styles of the company before deciding. The Omni's have a "progrid" system which adds extra cushioning to the heel of the shoe, which is a spot that gets sore for me when I stand all day, so that does seem to help.
As I stated, I like this shoe- the arch feels supported, but very comfortable.I guess some things I don't care for are that it feels very flexible under my toes, and I wanted something with a little more structure to it.Also, the top of the shoe is a wide, white mesh, which is constantly dirty, and makes for a soggy mess if I am out in the rain or wet grass. On the up side, though, my feet stay nice and cool with the excess ventilation.I do like this shoe, and I would recommend others to try it.
