Saucony Saves My Feet
By kateri27 onI got hooked on Saucony Running shoes about ten years ago when I started run/walking half marathons for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
I love this shoe because I often get severe pain in my arch with other running shoes. It was so severe that at times I would take my shoe off and just start running barefoot.I looked a little funny and this really didn't work in the winter months.
I found that the ProGrid (tm) Hurricane line did not cause arch pain.It is a stability shoe that was so comfortable.I have a problem with over pronation and this shoe and Saucony in general, lead the way in pronation control shoes.I have been purchasing the men's line because my feet run a little on the wide side and they have just been a little more comfortable.
At every update this shoe comes out in two colors. It's kind of hit or miss whether I like the colors.I actually bought two pairs one year because I loved the red and gray!
With the Grid Hurricane the only con for me is the high price.I do spend it because I would rather have comfortable, stable feet, and able to run long distances, and then try to run in the winter with bare feet.

I love my Sauconys too! They really have a great line of shoes.. I'm glad you found something you like, because I know it can be tough! Great insight!
Sounds like a great running shoe. You can't put a price on painless feet. Think it's great that you found a product that works for you.
Comfort is my main requirement in any shoe. I don't run anymore but my daughter will sure like to know this information. Thanks for sharing it.
These are men's shoes? I never thought about using a men's shoe as my runners. I would think they would be sized too big for a woman's feet. I will have to check out this brand next time I go shopping for runners!
I've never heard of this brand, but then I don't run:0) I guess the cost is worth it if it keeps your feet pain free...but WOW, what a price.
I have never heard of this brand but they sound fantastic. Going to tell my daughter about these, she does a walk for cancer every year and I think these would work great for her. Thanks Robin.
I first tried Saucony years ago, when I spotted them at my local Big 5 Sporting Goods. They were supremely comfortable and fit my narrow size 6 1/2 foot to perfection. They are so worth the price.
I have run in Saucony exclusively for years, and agree it is a great shoe. I wear the women's version (Omni, or something like that) and it offers really great support. Thanks for sharing your insight... I'd have never thought to try a men's shoe!
It is always so important to have the right show when running-especially if you experience arch pains. Best wishes in running your marathon for such a terrific cause!
I have bought a few pairs of Saucony as well, although the cheaper models, because I tend to have arch pain in my feet as well. Definitely helped me there. I did find that the cheaper models wore out very quickly though.
