Sauder 3 Shelf Bookcase By allisonrachael on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

There is nothing special about this bookcase, but if you're expecting something special from bargain basement discount furniture, you probably need the reality check. Nonetheless, I have been a little disapointed by this one. It does not hold very many books at all, particularly considering the amount of space it takes up. It looks as cheap as it is. Furthermore, if you are someone who gravitates towards "easy assembly" because you don't have the easiest time putting together things -- be warned that this is ridiculously difficult to assemble. You wouldn't think it would be so hard, since it doesn't LOOK all that complicated, but for some reason it is. If you are rough on the boards during or after assembly, the finish will readily chip off, and one of mine even looked as though it was about to split down the middle. It would be worth the extra $2 to get a bookshelf that wasn't this bad.
