Alright, this is a good basic computer desk for the money. The materials are not the greatest quality. For instance, the backing is basically a kind of glorified cardboard. Additionally, I've found that if you're remotely rough on it (even banging your chair into it on occasion, or accidentally sticking tape to it and then trying to peel it off again), the coating on the wood will easily chip away, and there really isn't any way to hide that without painting the whole desk over, or something drastic like that. All of that said, assembly was relatively easy for this desk, and it has a good basic design. My computer CPU tower easily fits into the cupboard, the keyboard tray is at a good height for me, and the hutch is super useful for additional things. This desk is a good size and doesn't take up a lot of space. All in all, an OK product.

Sauder makes sturdy, decent, but very basic office furniture. It is attractive, in fact I'm typing on a Sauder L shaped desk right now. They just don't hold up well to any sort of mishaps or dings. I figure if it lasts more than a year I got my money's worth.
Sounds like a basic desk. I would definitely want something that would hold up over time.

I used to work at a store that sold large amounts of Sauder furniture. Some of it was much better than others but for the most part if you are looking for something inexpensive to serve a temporary purpose, it works. Now if your are looking for something to last for years or to hand down to your kids, you'll probably want to look for something else.
Sauder has a lot of well-designed products that are affordable for those of us who have low budget lives, or for places where you really don't want to use an expensive piece of furniture.
