Reviewing: Hilton Embassy Suites Embassy Suites Downtown Cleveland, Oh

When thinking of a place to go for our honeymoon I really wanted to go to the Rock N roll Hall of Fame, and visit Cleveland, OH for the first time. So that's where we went. I looked at many hotels and heard that the Embassy Suites were really nice and the one in Downtown Cleveland was close to all the places we wanted to go.When we first pulled up I was impress but only for a moment and then the moment was gone...real fast! The build is really old shared with a bar, a grocery store, ( which was kinda nice to have right there if it wasn't packed with half of Cleveland's downtown employees) and half the building was apartments. The lobby was as big as our living room and no one offered to bring our bags in or help us to our room. All the rooms there are the same and are 2 bedroom suites, nice, spacious, clean, and laid out well. Though one night we had a HUGE bug flying our room ( I sear it was a bug from the dinosaur ages from the size) and our windows had been shut the entire time so no idea where it came from. The bathroom was very small and did not have a fan so the huge mirror in there fogged up every time we tooka shower. Something nice did actually happened during our stay though, they sent us a complimentary bottle of wine and plate of fruit for our honeymoon. That and the breakfasts were about the best things about our stay. Anytime a room service tray was set outside of some ones door it took them a day to come get it to the point we had to call because of the smell in the hallway. The parking was $10/day no ifs ands or butts and if you leave that garage, you better have the whole day planned because it cost's $5 every time you leave during the day, and there is no where else to park unless you want to walk a mile. All I can say is I am so glad Cleveland had so much for us to do and besides the hotel we had a GREAT honeymoon and loved Cleveland!!

It's nice going to these big cities but cost is something else. I went to Pittsburgh several times & parking is costly @ the hotels. Not to mention, most hotel staff are unpleasant to people. Your hotel sounds better than the one we stayed in Cleveland. The hallways had damage to the walls & doors etc... I prefer home. Forget life in the city. Okay to visit. That's about it. People just seem less friendly: maybe because of the fast pace.
