Scientific Atlantic Hi Speed Cable Modem By jayjay1113 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I have my HiSpeed internet DSL connection through Rogers Cable. I pay a monthly rental of $4.95 for the modem that also includes servicing and relpacement, if needed. A great thing about this modem is that it is very small in size. In comparison it is about half the size of a Linksys wired modem. Which is great because it doesn't take up a lot of room. It is black in colour with green status lights on the front with the meaning in white text. There are also icons on the top of the modem that symbolize each status light. The status lights are Power, Data Receive and Data Send, Cable and PC. On the top there is cool wave design embedded in to the plastic and holes looking like a sun with rays of sunlight, acting as escape holes to let the heat out. I have noticed that the modem is warm to the touch but I have never replaced it due to overheating even though the modem in always on. It gets its power from a 12volt DC adapter which is connected to the back. There is also Internet, USB and Cable ports on the back of the modem. I found it very easy to install and connect to my computer. I am very pleased with this modem.
