Tape is probably something we all tend to take for granted, but the quality of different brands of tape does differ. I have used other brands of tape on occasion, but Scotch brand is by far the best. It doesn't yellow over time and does stay put. Whenever I've used anything else (once because I was in a hurry when I was shopping and picked up the first tape I saw), I have definitely seen a difference in its performance. Either it didn't stick very well, or it ripped too easily, or it tended to yellow with age. I could see that it was cheaper tape.

I use Scotch tape and like using it. I have on occasion used the double sided tape, too, and it works very well. There are different size dispensers at different prices, and it's true that Scotch does tend to be more expensive. But I have found that you get what you pay for. When I use Scotch tape, it doesn't let me down. Other brands have.

Scotch Brand tape works the best for me, and I don't mind paying a little more for it. Plus it's a name that I trust.
