Scotts Turfbuilder With Plus 2 Weed Control By Alexsandralyn on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

By early summer, I had more weeds growing in my yard than grass. I couldn't even name all of the different types of weeds that I had, so what I needed was a general weedkiller that wouldn't kill my new grass. I went to Lowe's and looked over the selection of lawn fertilizing weedkillers, but it was a Lowe's salesman who recommended that I use Scotts TurfBuilder with PLUS 2 Weed Control because it can be used in the summer season to kill the weeds. I didn't know this at the time, but lawn fertilizing weedkillers are best applied in the spring when the weeds are actively growing.

I used a spreader to spread the Scotts Turfbuilder with PLUS 2 Weed Control throughout my yard, especially in the weediest areas. Within a few days, all of the weeds were brown but the new grass was a lot greener and starting to thicken. I only applied Scotts Turfbuilder with PLUS 2 Weed Control once in June, and it really cut down on my weed problem for the rest of the year while the new grass got established. For best results, it's recommended that Scotts Turfbuilder with PLUS 2 Weed Control be applied a second time about a month later, but I was out of money. This spring, I'll be buying Scotts Turfbuilder with Plus 2 Weed Control for my yard again.
