Seagate 160 Gb Internal Notebook Hard Drive By Summer Banks on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Upon returning home from the grocery store one evening, I stumbled upon an "Imminent Failure" message on my laptop. Lo and behold, my hard drive had failed. Having an old computer does not fair well in the fast moving technological world. I decided I needed to find a new hard drive and fast. But fast did not happen.

I traveled to three stores before I finally found an ATA100 connector enabled internal hard drive for my laptop. The Seagate 160 GB Notebook hard drive was my choice and I am ever so happy it was.

The Seagate is packaged for professional installation, so you will need to search the internet for installation instructions specific to your model laptop. My HP was simple to install and I have been using the computer ever since.

One keynote, after you install the hard drive you will need to boot your OS before trying to test the hard drive. It works better that way.

The Seagate is a quiet hard drive that runs smoothly and efficiently. The data recall from save is quick and the save to hard drive even quicker. No hiccups during installation of the OS (Windows XP).

All-in-all, The Seagate was a bit larger than I was looking for, but I love the result. I could not have wished for an easier installation process. The hard drive works perfectly. Five Smiles.
