Purchased at: Best Buy     Price: $100.00 USD

The Seagate External Free Agent hard disk is a great alternative to having to tear open your computer tower to bother with screws and wires to install additional storage for your computer. With this you can easily add storage capacity to your computer, allowing you to store additional photographs, music, videos, games, programs, and more. This is a well known brand that has been known for its reliability. The product itself seems to be well built and sturdy. The ease of use is definatly a 5 out of 5 as it is just a simple plug and play device. One thing I do not like much about this version of the external hard dive is that the base of the hard drive is not removable, it's understandable though because the harddrive does need some type of cooling and the fan happens to be in the base.If only they could somehow incorporate it into the drive itself instead of the base.Overall I would buy another of these if I needed additional storage.

The external hard drive that I bought from Seagate, 500 GB FreeAgent, within the first 5 months of using it, has broken and destroyed all the data I have stored on it . I am a student at Penn State University, run my own business, am an avid music lover, and world traveler, and therefore have recently lost much of the content of my life due to Seagates poor manufaturing. By simply bumping the external hard drive ever so slightly at the wrong time, the spindle within that reads your data can be thrown off track and scratch your hard drive to pieces. While Seagates products look and act tough, these characteristics are deceitful. So think again before puchasing one of their products.
