Sears Kenmore Hepa Air Filter By crazycol on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I purchased this air filter from Sears because my Honeywell air filter finally bit the dust. I purchased the air filter online at Sears.com because I could order online and pick it up 15 minutes later at a local Sears store. The unit is designed to clean air in a 16 x 20 room and does a great job. It also has a built in ionizer that cleans and freshens the air as it leaves the filter. This model has four settings, low, medium, high and Turbo.
The low and medium settings are extremely quiet, the high setting is a little noisier. The Turbo setting which is recommended for the first 24 hours produces some noise, but works for me as it is white noise which will hopefully help to drown out my husband's snoring and enable me to not only breathe better but help me to stay asleep when the snoring starts,
Between my allergies and my husbands snoring I haven't slept well since the last Air Cleaner quit. I look forward to a good nights sleep tonight, I read reviews from others on Sears.com before purchasing it and many had purchased it after the California Wildfires last fall. They all gave it a glowing recommendation and so far I love it as well.
The unit removes dust. pollen, tobacco smoke, pet dander and mold spores. It is a long thin unit that will fit against a wall. It measures approximately 20" x 8" and cleans up to a 320 square foot room.
The pre-filter needs to be replaced every 3 months with the Hepa filter needing to be replaced every 12 months. The pre-filter costs around $12 to replace with the Hepa filter costing around $45. There is a dial to set to remind you when to change each filter.

You got a great price on your unit!! I hope this will help your allergies AND drown your husband's snoring!!
It has helped immensely been sleeping like a baby. Highly recommend this unit.
Haaaa! I know what you mean about allergies and hubby's snoring! Glad you solved both problems with this system :0)
This sounds like a great unit, and looks like you got it for a really good price too, thanks for sharing.
This sounds like something I could really use ! and my mother in law as well her allergies have been awful! Thank you for the info!
If the Kenmore Hepa Airfilter helps you sleep, that will be the best $100.00 you ever spent!!
This sounds like a really good product, and something I could use in my bedroom -- where the large hairy dog sleeps... I'm not allergic to her per se, but the dust and pollen that she brings in don't help my allergies any. The price is a little high for me, but for a good night's sleep, it's well worth it. And the white noise never hurts, either! Nice job!
This sounds like a great hepa air filter. Thanks for the great information.
I have one of these units. Does anyone know what the dial with the numbers 01 to 20 is for? I know they are not power settings. Please let me know if you do...Thx
