Secretly Slender By Monica Cruz on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

It is really hard for me to find jeans I like. I am not a juniors, nor plus size, nor do I like "mom" jeans. So, I am really picky about jeans. I was at JCPenney recently and I saw some St. John's Bay Jeans on sale for $19.99

On the tag it says there is a "slimming panel" built into the stomach/waist area of the jeans to smooth out that troublesome area for oh-so-many women. Therefore, it makes everyone "Secretly Slender." I like that phrase; I shall use it the next time I get called fat- "Um, no sorry, but I am secretly slender. You obviously can't tell."

Usually when I put on my jeans I have to like lay down, crouch down a few times to loosen them, and maybe not eat all day. With these jeans they just slide right on (even straight from the dryer) and that is really awesome to me.

They do make my tummy seem a bit flatter, and they're fairly comfortable. My only gripe about these pants is that they seem to get a bit baggy after a few hours of wear. Now, they're not that stretchy material that so many jeans are made of, and I cannot figure out why they get so baggy. So, I try to toss them into the dryer if I can so that they get back to that nice, form fitting yet not tight, type of feel. They come in a variety of lengths and washes, and I recommend them to anyone who hates ill-fitting jeans. I personally bought the dark rinse in the average bootcut style- works well with my flats, heels, boots, t-shirts, dressy blouses, etc.
