Sennheiser Hd 580 By digbybare on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I have owned these headphones for about a year and a half. I upgraded from a pair of Sennheiser HD-280.

The sound quality of these headphones is amazing. After relistening to some songs on these headphones, I can hear subtle details that I cannot really hear with other headphones, such as the squeak of the guitarist's fingers moving around on the freboard, or the singer's breathes.

The HD-280's I had previously were very lacking in bass, and while the HD-580s are a definite improvement, they could still stand to be a bit bassier. However, the bass is not bad by any means, it is very tight and focused, rather than the booming muddy bass most cheaper headphones have.

These headphones are also exceedingly comfortable. Many times, I'll just leave my headphones on all day, even when I'm not listening to anything, just because I kind of forget I'm even wearing headphones.
