Sennheiser Hd280 Pro Headphones By numero9 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Sennheiser's answer to entry level monitor headphones is the HD280 Pro. On the outside, they make for good DJ headphones, and, more importantly, monitoring headphones for musicians doing production. I would not recommend these for solely casual listening. The HD280 Pros work considerably well for their price, but they aren't without their shortcomings. The most notable problem I found with these headphones is that has a low bass frequency range. Even in comparison with other headphones in their price range, the bass range could be improved upon. However, it doesn't really affect the listening and production experience too much. It is something the listener grows to. Otherwise, I haven't had any bad experiences with these headphones. They aren't incredibly durable and I found they have broken off in a lot of places. However, this is only in the plastic regions and the actual wiring components and audio output haven't been affected. While they aren't pretty looking anymore, they still work after several years.
