Sensodyne Pro Namel Works Great! By awillow1 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I have super sensitive teeth and little to no enamel (caused by childhood medications). I discovered Sensodyne over 10 years ago and have used it ever since. Although it is terrific toothpaste and without question made my teeth less sensitive, I did have two complaints. The first: only one flavor. The second: Sensodyne did not make toothpaste for sensitive teeth that also whitens.

Early this year, while at the grocery store looking to pick up a new tube of Sensodyne, I noticed a new toothpaste laying next to my favorite. Sensodyne ProNamel Gentle Whitening. Not only that, it was in a new flavor. I was stoked!

Sensodyne ProNamel Gentle Whitening - Acid Protection Formula is an excellent fluoride toothpaste for folks with sensitive teeth. Used twice a day, it adds a layer of protection to prevent tooth pain when eating hot or cold foods and beverages. It protects your tooth enamel against acid wear from acids found drinks such as wine, fruit, coffee and soda. Sensodyne ProNamel also hardens your enamel and gently removes stains keeping your teeth white longer. Their website says to allow two weeks for these effects to take place.

The new flavor is a wonderful change. Both the old and new flavors do have a slight hint of a baking soda tinge. However, in my experience, most teeth sensitive products have a touch of the baking soda flavor. Now, if they want to make me extra happy with their product, they'll add a cinnamon flavor to their line. Not that they don't have me hooked already, but it would be an especially nice treat.

If you'd like to give Sensodyne ProNamel Gentle Whitening a try, visit their website here: http://us.sensodyne.com/SaveNow.aspx for a $1.00 off coupon or to learn more about the Sensodyne line of available dental products. You will not be disappointed.

My daughter was born with weakened teeth enamel so we have to really look after her teeth. There is a kids version of this which is great and I have also tried the version you are talking about. As I get older, I find that my teeth are getting more sensitive so this brand is a great option and it really does work.
