Sephora Highlighting Powder Enlightens Your Skin
By Laurel1 onSephora's Luminous Trio is a smaller, and much less expensive, version of the multi-colored all-over-color powders started by Smashbox, Laura Mercier, and others. It comes in two shades, a Bronze Trio, for a more tan look or darker skin, and a rose trio.
I chose the Luminous Rose trio; the three colors are a light peachy pink, a deep rose, and slightly glittery white. It is applied all over the face with a large brush, or you can use a smaller brush with the individual shades, to highlight and contour.I really like this product. A similar one from Smashbox cost $38; the Sephora Luminous Trio, though smaller, was only $15, which is a much better fit for my budget.I also like the way the colors are distinct and can be used separately; thatisn't always the case in the more expensive products.Although Sephora doesn't use a lot of botanical ingredients in this highlighting powder, it does replace the talc in some less expensive copies with corn starch, which is much gentler to the skin.
I gave it less than a 5 because I felt they should have had at least one darker shade, and also because I'd have liked to see more natural ingredients. All in all, this is a great product that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to a friend.
