Sequin Handbag

I am getting ready to go away for a couple of weeks for the Christmas holidays. We are going to a beach house right on the Gulf. It is wonderful, but because it is a house, and we will be staying for a couple of weeks, I take everything but the kitchen sink, it seems. It's amazing how much you need when you go for a week or more.

While I was shopping recently in Kmart, I saw this great over-sized handbag by Piper & Blue. It is made of a charcoal colored soft knit material. but the thing that makes it so special is the trim. It has 4 rows of wide sequin trim in various shades.The colors are light pink, hot pink, purple and black, and they just "pop" on theblack material, making it very festive and bright.

I will probably use this handbag (which is like a mini-shopping bag) to stash the reading materials that I plan to take along. It won't get lost in the sea of other things I'm packing, such as Christmas decorations, computers, linens, etc. It has two very generous shoulder straps for ease in carrying, and I am sure I will use it for many months to come, both as a tote bag, and a handbag. It retailed for $12.99, and was on sale for $7.79--quite a bargain! The bright colors make me feel good, and it's quite festive for the holidays!
