Serenity

Serenity is the evolution of the cult favorite television series Firefly. The movie on its own is a really great film. It combines a nice amount of drama, comedy and action. The story is good and it plays almost like a long episode of the series. Not a lot of time is spent introducing characters so being somewhat familiar with the short lived (13 episode) series might be a good idea. On top of being a great movie the DVD is packed with some great features. 20 deleted scenes and outtakes. The outtakes are some of the best bloopers I have ever seen, you can really tell the cast had a great time making the movie. There is also a good commentary track and a documentary on how the film gained momentum. Great movie, definitely give it a watch.
