Sergeant's Skip Flea And Tick Shampoo For Cats By Cloudage By cloudage on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

After fostering two stray cats in addition to our own we found ourselves infested with fleas. I decided to try Sergeant's Skip-Flea and Tick Shampoo for cats as it promises to kill fleas, ticks and lice. The directions are straightforward, wet the cat and apply the shampoo to the coat. Leave the cat in a lathered state for four or five minutes before rinsing with warm water.

The product was easy to apply, and as I was rinsing off the cat I could see a couple of dead fleas going down the drain. Ten minutes later however, as I was drying the cat in a towel there were fleas running around on him that apparantly managed to survive the wash. Two weeks later I washed him again, with the same result even though i was sure to wash every part of him exept around his eyes.

This shampoo does not work! The only good thing about it is the smell, and it does leave your cat's coat shine soft with a delightful fragrance. So use it as a shampoo for cats, not as a flea treatment!
