I just gave my mother's poodle(Trouble) another bath today using Sergeant's Skip-Flea & Tick Shampoo , because this time of year you can never be too careful. Although he is an (inside) dog, he is continually going outside to do his business and visit the (outside)cats my mother owns, which is the perfect opportunity for infestation.

Living here in the mountains of Northeast Georgia, we always have a problem with ticks this time of year and its important to check yourself anytime you go into the woods or even through tall grass. Even though I bathed "Trouble" just a couple of weeks ago, I was still able to find a small tick that had attached itself within the past 24 hours in the armpit area of his front leg. I usually just mix some of the Sergeants Skip-Flea & Tick Shampoo in a small bucket and dip a soft brissel brush into the bucket and scrub him gently all over, continually dipping and scrubbing until I feel he is clean. Then I like to scoop a little out with my bare hands and rub over his entire body checking for ticks as I do before rinseing... (Thats how I found the tick under his front leg)...

Sergeant's Skip-Flea & Tick Shampoo kills fleas and ticks for up to ten days. It not only deodorizes, it conditions your dogs dry skin as well, which I am told by my neice that works at the Vet's office, is very important for this type of dog. I have not had a problem with fleas, and I've only found the one tick... so I guess it must be doing its job pretty good. I know "Trouble" sure enjoys it every time he gets a bath !

Trouble is lucky to have someone who takes such good care of him. I would say, you're right this product is doing its job.

We used this shampoo on our cats (the cat version, of course) when they had fleas. It did kill some fleas but not all. We've switched to a different product for flea-control.

I need to try this for my special dog. Last year was a chore between combing and using the drops. I fear the drops because I hear some dogs have health problems possibily caused by them. I will try the Sergeants skip-flea and tick shampoo this spring. Thank you.
