Sesame Place

Sesame Place is located near Langhorne PA, which is about 30 minutes northeast of Philadephia. If you have young kids who like Sesame Street, I would highly recommend checking this place out!

Just to let you know the costs up front, we spent roughly $250 for one day (2 adults, one child 2 years of age). This includes food at the park ($30), gift store items ($30), parking ($13), and tickets (these 3 tickets were 2-day passes using our AAA discount, so we still get to go back again this year).

We went in the middle of the week in order to avoid the crowds, and I think that it was worth it.It was very easy to find after we took the exit off the highway.General parking was $13, and we were about 3 minutes from the car. There is a picnic area if you want to bring your own food.

This park is geared towards kids from 2-preteen.I didn't see too many teens, although the ones I did see were having fun because it was a perfect day for water rides. There are a lot of water activities at this park, and there was something for every age group. There were 4 Sesame Street shows and a Parade - we saw the Elmo show, and my son loved it.We rode all of the rides, and had enough time to do some of them twice. They do a really good job of keeping the rides short enough so that you don't have to wait in line very long.

The food was a lot of money, but we were happy with the healthy choices. Both my husband and I had chicken salads, and we also had a fruit cup that was really good. The prices in the gift shop were pretty reasonable - I actually expected the prices to be more expensive for some items. There were also carnival-like games you could play - the ones we were at were "play until you win" games, which I thought was really nice of them!

They also have characters that are in various areas of the park that are available for pictures (you can take your own for free). My son got to meet Bert and Ernie, and watching him hug them made the whole trip worth every penny.Overall, I would have to highly recommend this park to anyone with little kids!

Sounds like a fun park - do they have an area that looks like Sesame Street? That would be so cool!

They do have a replica of "the Street". It was actually the least impressive place in the whole park (just wood with the buildings painted on them), but the kids seemed to love it (ah, to have an overactive imagination again!).

I wish this was closer to me. I'd love to take my son. Maybe next year!
