I do remember being glued to the TV as a child whenever Sesame Street came on around 1978+ and now I have a 2 year old son that is addicted to it as well. I was reminiscing about all of the little skits I remember as a child + much to my surprise they're still using the same ones today. I decided to buy this book based upon reviews that I read online. It truly is a great book that tells you everything you could ever want to know about Sesame Street and it's entire history. There are lots of pictures and words to all of the popular songs. I , personally, wanted to read this book to catch up because there was a pretty big gap between the time when I watched as a little girl and now. The book introduces you to all of the new characters that are popular now and how they came to be. It took me about 2 days to read the whole book, it's a large book, but it is very interesting for an adult to read plus your kids will love to look at all of the pictures of the muppets. I have to highly recommend it to any grown up Sesame Street fan.
