Sharp Twin Energy
By bubbacat onI have owned a Sharp Twin Energy Upright since 1996. It looks just like new and runs the same. I thought the vacuum was a bit pricey when I bought it back then. My husband couldn't believe I paid that price. The vacuum has more than paidfor itself. It is blue in colorwith the back of the tank gray. The handle is chrome with a gray hand grip.It has a really long cord (not retractable). Edge cleaner with brush on both sides. The front comes off by just squeezing to remove. This opens to the dust bag which is type PU2. No hepa filter....I don't think they had those back then. 12 amps. Power control dust indicator. Two fans. Very quiet. Easy to push. No bending. On/off switch on the handle. Rug and floor adjustment switches. 1300W. Automatic height adjustment. The cleaning tools are not onboard. I store them away until needed for thorough cleaning. This is nice if you don't want to lug the attachments with each cleaning. I don't always use the attachments only on certain cleaning days. The hose attachment is long and it has a nozzle attachment and cleaning brush. I was wondering about the new brands, purchased a Eureka and returned it dissatisfied. This older model Sharp has been so reliable. I'm keeping it. I will not waste my money on these newer cheap plastic vacuums. Sharp is a winner!
