Shaw Direct 100 Digital Satellite TV

When I signed up for satellite TV service over 5 years ago the company was known as Start Choice. This year they got bought out by Shaw Direct and became 100% digital. I have had excellent service with Start Choice and so far so good with Shaw Direct.

I purchased the digital and extra value packs that gives me time shifting for all of the Canadian TV Networks and some US Networks as well. I get over 500 channels which includes specialty chanels like Space, Peachtree, BET, Food Network, MTV, Tree House and Disney, to name a few. The quality of the signal has been great. We've had the odd outage during thunder/lightening storms and heavy snow falls, but it has been really reliable overall.

The receiver was very easy to install and the remote easy to sync and use. I have a basic receiver but you can upgrade to a HDPVR $499 net (a savings of $200!). It is very easy to order Pay-per-view movies and sports events. You can do it online, via phone or directly from your TV if you have a phone line installed. They also have different billing options that included paper, paper-less, online @ Shaw Direct, credit card by phone and even e-bill.
