She Works Hard For Her Money..!!! By Mikeshappywife on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Online savings sounds pretty scary to most, espically some of the older generation, but when we ran across ING we figured how could we go wrong. ING is FDIC approved which gave me the confidence that I needed to take the plunge. We were referred by a friend of the family which means that they deposit $25 into our account, if we deposit at least $250.

We took the referral and were excited to see the 4.1% return on our money as oppose to the less than 1% our local bank was giving us. We, however, never saw the $25 deposited into our account. We contact ING to check up on the situation and got nothing but the run around and finally we got a manager who took care of the problem.

Since then we have not had any issues with them at all. We just transfer money electronically to/from our local checking account. Its great to be getting the interest that a CD would be giving without having your money locked up.

I would refer ING to anyone, even with the customer service not being the best. Its a great way to make money on the money you work so hard for.
