Shelcore Jimmie Johnson Remote Control Racer
By Micah Scott onWe found this Shellcore Jimmy Johnso Remote Control Racer at Walmart on the clearance shelf for only $9.00.Our little boy loves cars and Jimmy Johnson is one of the few race car drivers he actually knows and recognizes. What is nice about this remote, besides being cheap, is that it is cordless. He has a few other cars with cords as most of the remotes for young kids do and those always seem to get tangled up or are jujst limited in motion. This car is made of plastic but it is really pretty tough. He constantly drives it into the walls and cupboards but it just keeps on going. The remote has two arrows, one makes it go forward and the other turns it in reverse. Despite our son being not even three, he has no problem operating it.It is rather small and doesn't run the greatest on our living room carpet but on tile and the sidewalks it runs great.he has been playing with it for over a week and the batteries are still going strong.it requires 5 triple A batteries, two in the remote and three in the car. I am not sure why they desing products to use an odd number of batteries but that is what it requires. You need a small screwdriver to remove the backs of the car and control to install the batteries. That is actually a cood thing because our son would have taken them out otherwise.Overall for the price this was a nice little remote and he really enjoys playing with it.

Cute, too bad it takes so many batteries though, but rechargeables could come in handy with it. Good that it is easy for your little one to play with. Thanks for the info
We have a ton of these cars for our son & did as Lexxia just wrote-we ended up putting rechargeable batteries in them!!
If they have a Jeff Gordon I'll have to get this for my hubby! Thanks!
