Sheraton Waikiki By FrankV on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I stayed at this hotel with my wife for a weekend. I wanted to stay at a hotel that sat directly on Waikiki beach. This hotel was fantastic. Our room was big and it had a small lani (balcony) that overlooked the Pacific Ocean. I think the only bad thing about this hotel is that the balconies are too close to each other. We had decided to sit out and watch the sun set one evening when the neighbor next to us decided to stick his head around the corner and see what we were doing. There is not much privacy on the lani. We ended up going back inside and watching from a locked door. The hotel has some great entertainment, there is even an open air lounge. They have hawaiian musicians and hula dancers at the poolside nightly. I liked all the retail shops in the hotel. I bought some snacks to take back to the room from the little convenience store inside the hotel. There is a restaurant on the 30th floor of the hotel. I took the elevator up to look around. You have to ride this elevator to the top floor even if you aren't staying at the hotel. The views from the elevator are spectacular! In the daytime or evening I could see all of Waikiki. The hotel is within walking distance of many shopping areas and restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel.
