When Targus launched its line of laptop/notebook bags for women almost two years ago I was able to get my bag for a really good deal. My boss' sister worked at Targus at the time and she was able to get any bag I chose at 50% off with her friends and family discount. After looking at the different bags offered on the Targus website, I chose the Katherine model.
The laptop bag has two main compartments. In one of the main compartments is a padded black laptop sleeve. You just open the flap and slide your lap into the sleeve, for added protection, and then place the back into the bag. On the inside of one side of the bag there is a medium-sized zippered pocket while the the other side has a pocket large enough to hold 8 1/2 x 11 file folders. There is also a cell phone and calculator pocket, windowed pocket for ID and even a key chain. The outside of the bag is in a beautiful black and white tweed pattern and also has two zippered pockets on both sides.
I added the 'Complements' rating a scored it a 5 because everyone who sees this bag for the first time always complements me on it. The only downside I have is not to over pack the bag as it can get heavy and hurt carrying it on one shoulder. I wish the straps were a bit wider for more support but that might make the bag look ugly. Overall, this is a great bag if you can get it on sale!

That is such a great looking bag! Targus really knocked it out of the ballpark with this one! Woo hoo for you getting this at 50% off! As for the straps, I do believe that there are pads that are sold to go over the straps, but not so sure that you could find one that looked nice with the bag. It might be worth a bit of research if you carry it around quite a bit.

Expensive but it does look good. You were lucky to get it at discount price.
