Shoo Bugs! By Darrylmcd on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I am outdoors a lot, bush hogging, mowing, working in the garden, riding ATV's. We live in rural Tennessee and I believe we breed some of the meanest insects here, especially the mosquito's! We have tried the old bug zappers with the blue neon lights, we have tried Off!, we have even tried rubbing fabric softener sheets on us. Allow me to tell you what we found that really works, it is called Repel, it is a permanone. It is called Clothing and Gear Insect Repellent. You spray this on your clothes, your gloves, hats, boots, just do NOT spray it on your skin. I have only seen this particular one at CO-OP, and it runs about $6.00 but is worth that. It keeps fleas, ticks, mosquito's, gnats and more away from you. Now I do use the Off! on my skin along with the Repel and it has been very effective and we will continue to use it.

I really hate the products you have to apply or spray on your skin. This looks like something I just may have to try. We have bugs the size of small animals around here. Thanks!

My silly big fluffy gray male cat comes home with tics on him all the time. Wish I could use this on him.

We have LOTS of mosquitos here, and with summer coming up, this is a product I will need to look into.
