Shooter - DVD review

Shooter is really a throwback to the straight action flicks of the 80's and early 90's with Schwarzenegger, Stallone and Seagal. Straight action, good story, good special effects, not that great acting but extremely entertaining. The script is all right, some good one-liners but also some cheesy moments. I really found the story interesting all the way through, an the action was fantastic. This tale of revenge will have you rooting for the little guy who takes matters into his own hands. This isn't "Oldboy"...there is nothing complicated or surprising here; you'll hear dialogue that will make you wonder what the screenwriter was thinking. Nevertheless, this movie is a lot of fun to watch and the production values, stunt work, and cinematography are first-rate.
