Shredmaster SC80 Straight-cut Personal Shredder
By jayjay1113 onWith identity theft becoming a real problem in Canada (people stealing credit card bills and other information from your recycle bin), we've decided to buy a shredder for our home office. I used to bring our confidential information to work and put them in the shredder but I don't want to walk around with this stuff in my purse or laptop bag - I'm already freaked out to actually use my cards anywhere because of skimming, etc. that walking around with more confidential information than I had to just wasn't cutting it.
We purchased the GBC Shredmaster. It comes with a limited warranty on the cutting blade. It has three settings: On/Auto, Forward and Reverse. It sometimes jams so I use the Forward and Reverse settings to clear the paper jam. There is also a green LED light on it so that you know it's on. Very important with kids in the house! I find it's not too noisy, but you can definetly tell when my husband or I am using it. Also, it can quickly shred about 10 sheets of paper at a time. I've even shredded expired credit cards in this shredder. It is easy to install and empty. Overall, this is a great shredder for the occasional home office use.

We need this for home use. =\ My mom makes me shred all the bills and stuff by hand and its annoying
i need a paper shredder. this looks very appealing to have.
I think that was a good buy; good price. I also like the looks of it.
