"Shrek 2" is truly a movie that can be enjoyed by the whole family. I love this movie almost as much as my children. It is so funny.
The main characters all carry the voices of some wonderfully talented actors such as Mike Meyers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy, Antonio Banderas and Julie Andrews. The animation and color is beautifully done. The length of the movie is 1 hour and 32 minutes. I always hate to see it end.
The story is centered around all the great nursery rhymes and stories that we all grew up with such as "Hickory Dickory Dock", "The Gingerbread Man", and "Hansel and Gretal." The humor that is used does have an adult theme but it is done in such a way that it is appropriate for small children.
I would definitely recommend this movie for the whole family. When we first got "Shrek 2", my youngest son would sit for hours and watch this movie over and over again. It got to the point where he could recite the lines.
