Shrek Operation By timandlesley on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My son was so excited when we purchased this game. Memories from my childhood being frustrated not being able to get out the small pieces as the buzzer went off flashed through my mind but I was excited to try the game with my son. Not to my surprise my 6 year old was in tears about 5 minutes after attempting the game and my 3 year old daughter was in tears because the buzzer sound scared her - not my idea of a wonderful family game night by any means. I hate the pressure this game puts on children and they gets so frustrated not being able to get the tiny pieces out of those small holes. There really isn't any educational value in this game either unless you take into account the counting of the money which doesn't occur much since my children didn't get any pieces out : )

My oldest son has this exact game. However, its home for the last several years has been on the top shelf in his closet.
