Shure E3c headphones
By derwood onIt's hard to find a pair of small headphones that sounds actually sound good.I tried several different pairs and could never find exactly what I was looking for.The small ones I tried didn't sound good, and the headphones that sounded good were usually too large and inconvenient.I went back and forth trying several pairs but I could never found the perfect combination. That is, until I stumbled on the E3c headphones from Shure.
These are in-the-ear headphones, sometimes referred to as "canalphones" since they actually fit inside of your ear canals. At first I was a bit unsure of how something small enough to fit inside of my ear could actually sound good.Man, was I surprised! These things sound great. It's hard to believe that such full sound can come from something so tiny.
Because they fit inside of your ears, they form a seal which helps to block out almost all of the outside ambient noise. This, in turn, allows you to play your music at a much lower volume, which is good for your long-term hearing. The sound isolation that they provide also makes them ideal for use when traveling in a car, plane, or train to block out the outside engine or road noise.I've personally used them several times to listen to music or watch a movie while I was traveling, and they worked wonderfully.
In addition to the sound quality, they are also very well built and they offer many different fitting options to accommodate different sized ears.Additional fitting options are also available directly from Shure, Inc.
If you can't tell, I really like these, however, if I were forced to find any faults with them, I would have to say that they take little bit of extra effort to fit them into place, especially when you first begin using them, and they are a tad bit expensive.
If you are looking for a great sounding pair of headphones, and your budget allows for it, I would highly recommend these.

Sounds nice. The price scares me though.
wow, this sound great. Thanks for the information. Something I would consider buying.
These sound great, just a little too expensive for my needs!
These sound great. They are a little steep in price but for someone who wears earphones a lot I would imagine thats a small price for saving a person's hearing.
I have wondered about the canalphones. Your point about being able to keep the volume lower because the sound is so good, is something I hadn't considered. I was actually thinking of it the other way around, that since they are right in your ear canal, it must be harmful to your hearing. Thanks for setting me straight.
For the music afficiando, these headphones sound ideal so I will not tell my husband about these-he would want a pair!
I need a good set of headphones, but dont want to look like an 80s rocker. Thanks!
I don't think it would be too much to pay, as they have different size options, if I could get some to fit my ears and were comfortable to use.
Wow --- I just saw the price on these! I can't see myself forking over that much money for some headphones. Yikes. But if they work for you that is really good and I am glad you enjoy them. I am sure others will want to check them out also.
(((wow))) shure brand is great.. my husband is an engineer he told me that..
