Shutter, The Unrated Version By Mia Blaisdell on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This was rather a great deal from blockbuster seeing how this movie was just released. This movie, Shutter, is the 2008 American remake of a 2004 Thai film of the same name. In this version a newly married couple Ben ( A photographer) and Jane spends their honeymoon in Japan, where on the way to their honeymoon retreat, are involved in a tragic accident. The couple then tries to move on and get back to their lives, Ben taking a photography project in Tokyo. However, the incident of the past doesn't stay away and comes back to haunt the couple in ghostly images in Ben's photos and slowly escalates into something more than dark and terrorfying than they ever could have imagined.

I have to say for a remake this is not bad, and slowly builds the tension of the story, which I like in a horror film. If that sounds like something you might like or if your just into Asian / American remake films like The Grudge and The Ring. I'm sure you will enjoy this raw unrated release packed with special features and a alternate ending not seen in theatres!
