Shutterfly A Great Photo Place By Mom2One on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

When I purchased my digital camera I knew I had to find an online photo company that would print great photos. I tried to do it at home and between the cost of the ink and just the quality of the pictures I personally felt it wasn't worth it.

I searched different on line photo places. I kept hearing great things about Shutterfly. They had an offer of 25 free prints when you create an account. I decided to give them a try.

It has been over a year now that I have been a member of Shutterfly and I have not been disappointed once.

I like how you are given the choice of Matte or Glossy finish. I am a Matte person myself and so many places are going to the glossy finish.

Shutterfly is easy to use. You just upload your pictures, crop where needed and order. That is all that is too it.

You may also add borders and text to your pictures.

I signed up for Shutterfly's annual membership. With that my photos are only 13 cents a print plus I received a free 8.5X11 photo book.

Shutterfly's photo book are very nice quality and extremely easy to create. The annual membership is only $29.99 and if you develop a lot of photos, like myself, it is well worth the extra price. This annual membership plan also gives you discounts on bigger prints, like 5x7, 8x10, etc.

I have ordered different sizes with Shutterfly and never had an issue. I believe the biggest I have ordered was a 11x13 and the finished and color on it was great.

Just last Christmas I ordered their photo cards and received the same quality I have come to expect from Shutterfly.

Since these photos will have to be shipped to you, there is a shipping charge. Honestly I feel the shipping charge is fair. The shipping is very fast in my opinion.

Also I know there is a way you can order your photos through Shutterfly and then pick them up at your Target photo developing center. I don't believe there is a shipping charge for that. I have never personally used it because the pictures are only available in Glossy finish this way and like I said before I like my photos in the Matte finished.

I highly recommend Shutterfly. In fact I got my mother and grandmother to sign up with Shutterfly recently and they too have no problem with the ease of the website.

I might have to check this out-I hear great things about Shutterfly-it does sound like a great site to print off Christmas photos!

It is good to know about the option of pickup at Target. Too bad they only offer glossy, though. I like matte prints better, too. Shutterfly is a great resource for digital prints!

I have used Shutterfly quite a few times and have always been happy with them. I am not familiar with being able to pick up the photos at Target, but for me it isn't an option I would likely use... but is good to know.

when you factor in ink /printing costs and having to use your gas to go to the store, Shutterfly emerges as a winner. You get much higher quality prints and better overall results using them.

Great information on the annual plan. I will have to look into this!
