Shutterfly...Easy to use...Could be better Quality

We used Shutterly for our Valentine's Cards this year.
I was pleased with the ease of use on their website. Everything was well laid out and user friendly. The process of ordering was extremely smooth and the price was fantastic!
I received prompt emails about the status of my order (receipt of order, shipment of order, etc), which was wonderful!! The shipping time was excellent; I had my cards within about a week!
I was extremely excited about the cards and how easy everything had been..until I opened the cards. I was SO disspointed in the quality of the cards.
The paper trimmer left "excess" paper on come cards that I had to take off and some of the edges were a little choppy instead of smooth.The colors were great...very vibrant and the cards looked great until you looked at the edges. Perhaps the "chopper" just needed to be sharpened and I got the "last batch" before it was.
Overall, for the price and ease of use, I would probably use them again. I don't know that I would use them for extra special occasions because of my experience, but for simple reprints and things of that nature, I think they are a winner!

I love this website. It's great for making online albums to send to friends too. This saves alot of attaching pics to each email! I have ordered prints and they have always been perfect. Sorry to hear you had extra that you needed to trim. But for the price and convenience of them printing pictures...I think they are awesome. I have seen a calendar that was ordered from them too. You can choose the pictures for each month. Great gift idea too :) You also get to personalize the months on the calendar with your special dates. How cool is that !
Wow, I'm not sure I would have given them as high a score as you did. I think I'd prefer quality over speed, but maybe you'll have a better experience next time.
I love Shutterfly, it is the only photo printing place I use now. Sorry to hear about the valentine cards though. Maybe like you said the cutter needed to be sharpened? I have order Christmas cards from them and never had that problem. Hopefully it was just a one time thing and not the quality going downhill.
Shutterfly is a great site!! I'm so very sorry about the glitch with your Valentine's cards though....your cards sounded beautiful!

Sorry that the cards didn't turn out as well as you would have hoped. We used shutterfly for our Christmas cards for the past two years and have been very happy with it. I have also purchased three 8X8 photobooks and have been pretty pleased with these as well.
Sorry your cards did not turn out well. I have had prints and several photo books made through them and I have been very happy with the quality. I am just wondering if you tried to contact them to see if they would do anything for you?

I've always been curious at whether or not Shutterfly was a good service to go with. Sounds like it is if you just want to get reprints, but not so much for anything special. I will keep it in mind. Thanks!
