SimCity 4

Simcity 4 is the most recent game in the Simcity series, developed by Maxis.Simcity 4 is a major overhaul from the previous game, Simcity 3000.Simcity 4 moves the series into full 3D, abandoning the isometric 2D of the previous installments.

The biggest change in Simcity 4 is the addition of region play.Region play replaces the neighbor connection dynamic from the previous games by allowing you to create multiple cities and then connecting them to share jobs and utilities.This also replaces the scenarios and prebuilt cities, making Simcity 4 a pure "sandbox" game.The game is also somewhat broken without the expansion pack, but it is thankfully very easy to find.

The changes to the game make this game the most extreme overhaul of the series.If you enjoyed the open city-building, this game will be an excellent evolution.However, if you want more of the structured scenarios, you might want to stick with Simcity 3000.
