Simplicity Ellis Cherry Crib By eclecticbird on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I looked for a long time to find a set of furniture for my new baby. I finally decided on this line because the rest of the woodwork in my house is cherry and I really liked the design of all the pieces. The crib is very versitile which was another deciding factor in my purchase of this set. It starts off as a crib then turns into a toddler bed and finally a full size bed so it grows with your child! This was a huge selling point with me because it means the furniture will always match and I won't have to buy additional pieces as the baby gets older.
The color is a nice deep cherry and has the look of a much more expensive piece of furniture. I've had several compliments on the entire set!
The crib took the longest to put together, close to 5 hours total. This was the first piece in the set my husband put together and the quality of the instructions greatly contributed to the length of time needed for assemply. The instructions were not very clear and the pieces were not labled well. Despite this, however, the the crib is lovely which is why it still gets 5 stars from me.
