Simpsons Tree House of Horror Monopoly
By Olin Froid onSimpsons Tree House of Horror Monopoly is the latest scary addition to the Monopoly family of games. If you are familiar with the game, that is the easy part. But the names of all of your beloved properties are changed to match Simpsons places and experiences, like Moe's Bar and Lard Lad Donuts. I love Monopoly and the Simpsons, so this was a great idea for me. But, I ran into a small problem with this version of the game. The tokens are all characters from the Simpsons Tree House of Horror series, things like Bart as the Fly and Dracula Burns. But to make them "scary" they are glow in the dark. This presents as a problem, since they are not detailed and made out of a light green plastic. They are hard to see characters well, so we usually switch them out for other characters from another Monopoly. But other than that-a great game!

How strange that the design of the pieces weren't meant to be used in the daylight! Good idea to exchange it for different ones. I wonder if many people have complained about that feature. Might be a good idea to write to the company and explain the difficulty you had. They might even send you some replacement parts!
This would make a good gift for a Simpson's fan, only you'd need to warn them that they are expected to play this game in the dark! :)
My family would love this game. we like to play monopoly and are big Simpsons fans.
I have seen quite a few different games like this, but I have never seen this one. I wonder how many different monopoly games there are? My suggestion on the charters is paint them all with a different color sharpie. It would work.
I love themed board games like this, too bad the pieces aren't made better though.
Cool sounding game! We have the regular Simpsons monopoly, but the Tresshouse of Horror version sounds even more fun!!
I am so out of it apparently! I had no idea that there were so many different versions of Monopoly! We played this day and night when I was little! I guess it's back to the drawing board on those glow in the dark tokens, though.
I love to play monopoly and this sounds just very cool.
Not a favorite of the Simpsons, but like Monopoly.
